Spring Break at last :)

Edline updates should post today. Yesterday's test will post sometime over the break.

Geometry finishes their test today. Calculus and Precalculus take theirs - Algebra II has had a homework check and is set in terms of grades going into Spring Break.

Coach Davenport is taking the tenth grade to CNN. Travelling mercies and a good trip are always first consideration.

Finish up testing on Thursday this week to allow a day to make up before Spring Break. Nobody wants to come back from that with a test hanging overhead.

3/20/12

New assignment lists went out yesterday for Algebra II and Geometry. Still working on the Calculus and Precal ones. Tests today in Algebra II and Geometry - the other two classes will be Thursday.

Report card grades are by no means the grades on the high school transcript. Only 40% of that grade is represented by the 3rd quarter grade. We are in a new grading period and the final exam in May combine for the other 60 %. Plenty of opportunity is available to improve the only grade that colleges see on the transcript - the final average for second semester.

Five days until Spring Break. I think everyone is getting cabin fever :)

New homework schedules should be going out today. Everyone takes tests this week so we come back from our break ready to sprint to the finish.

Early school dismissal at 12:00 today for the baseball/softball tournament.

8 days until Spring Break. The rest will do us all some good :)

Mrs. Shirley's funeral is today at 4. The PLAS family will continue to support the family well past today but I'm sure all due considerations will be appreciated.

A bit later in the day than I usually post but that is fine :)

All classes have fresh Edline updates as of today. Grades will be finalized on Wednesday and report cards will print out and go home on Thursday. Any questions do not hesitate to contact me at jreynolds@pikelib.com and I will respond as promptly as possible.

The grades for the grading period conclude today with the 3rd period Nine Weeks Test. They will be available for review before the grade is sent for processing onto the report cards. Report cards will go out next week and should reach homes before Spring Break.

Nine Weeks Tests begin today with 4th and 7th period classes.
First and 6th go tomorrow - 2nd and 5th on Thursday - 3rd on Friday.

My apologies for the lack of an update over the weekend. I had a medical emergency in Montgomery that required my attention. I will be working on completion of the update today and will hopefully have it out to all classes by tomorrow.

Nine Weeks Tests tomorrow - 4th and 7th.
 Then ist and 6th and Wednesday , 2nd and 5th on Thursday and 3rd on Friday.

Happy Friday everyone ! One more week left before report cards !

Nine Weeks Tests are next week and we will wind down new material today so that we can concentrate on reviews next week. 4th and 7th periods go first on Tuesday, followed by 1st and 6th on Wednesday, 2nd and 5th on Thursday and 3rd on Friday.

The PTO is sponsoring a yard sale and would like anyone interested in contributing to contact the office and find out who to contact to help out.

The PLAS Technology Trot is coming soon and proceeds benefit the entire school as we continue to strive to improve all aspects of our students' education.

The soccer team was very appreciative of the support received at Tuesday's match and invites everyone to continue to " come down the hill " and see them play at the football field. Matches usually fall between varsity and JV baseball/softball games and all support is greatly welcomed.
